Few things make me as happy as a nice woolly hat. My wife and I spend a good portion of the year in cold, snowy, mountainous places and that means you need to stay layered to stay warm. Of course, one of the most important body parts to cover is the top of your head. I won't bore you with the whole business about 'heat escaping out of your scalp' and so on but trust me--keep your head warm! I have to say that this hat really surprised me. I wasn't expecting much at the price point but it turned out to be an excellent product. The hat is 30% wool and 70% acrylic. Personally, I prefer a blend instead of an all wool hat--they keep their shape better, they're more wind resistant and (slightly) better able to stand up to wet snow. The hat is reversible--the one I got had a gray woolly exterior and a black fleece interior. It looks great no matter which side you roll with. This is a first rate hat at a very reasonable price point--it looks good, it's comfortable, it fits well and it's warm. Highly recommended!

I really like this beanie. The comfort and warmth stand out right away—it’s extremely soft on the head but still thick enough to keep the cold out. I went with the larger size, and I’m glad I did since it lets me pull it down far enough to cover most of my ears. That extra coverage makes a big difference when you’re outside in the wind or colder weather. I picked the black and orange option, and I like the reversible design more than I expected. The black side gives you a clean, classic look, while flipping to the orange side adds visibility, which is great for walks in low light or if you just want something with more pop. The material feels quality-made, with no scratchiness or irritation, and it has a bit of stretch that makes it fit comfortably without feeling tight. It’s the kind of hat you can wear for different occasions—whether you’re out hiking, running errands, or just want something cozy around the house. For me, it hits the right balance between style and function, and it’s one of the most comfortable beanies I’ve owned.

My head is slightly bigger than normal range, and usually knit hats stretch enough to fit, but sometimes they feel just too tight on me. This hat fits absolutely perfectly. The wool is soft and stretchy, and inside is a nice gray fleece. Or is that outside? Both, because it’s reversible! I’ll probably normally wear it with the fleece on the inside, but if it’s snowing or otherwise wet out I’ll wear the fleece on the outside so it can dry quicker once indoors. 🟢 PROS: * comes in two sizes, especially XL-XXL — fits my big head perfectly * attractive wool on one side — I’ll wear the wool side when going out with friends, dinner, movies, etc * soft insulating fleece on the other side — I’ll wear the fleece side out when it’s snowing or drizzling * perfect for the coldest winter days because it’s got 2 layers 🔴 CONS: * “green” is really brown… not sure why they call it green (see my photos) * a little too warm for autumn, especially for exercise — no deduction, just note that this hat is warm! Earns 5 stars because it’s a reversible hat with nice wool on one side, soft fleece on the other, and both sides are attractive… but I was sold on the XXL size!

I like to use hats like this as a cold weather liner under my cycling helmet. I like the wicking properties of the lining and the thermal properties of the wool. It is very effective at blocking the wind and retains it's thermal properties when wet with sweat. The quality of the materials is excellent and it fit my large head well. It looks good when not under the helmet and the liner and wool are both quite soft. The stitching between the layers is clean and tight and it's held up well with washing and after long hours of use.

This beanie is 30% wool, which although not a high count, added to 70% acrylic, it is warm. I got the black/orange as I could wear this both around town and flip to wear the orange for hunting. The hat is well made and I like that there is no content tag attached (was provided on a separate, string attached card), so only the name tag shows when flipping. It appears I could wash this easily in cold water and lay to dry to maintain the wool/acrylic. At the time of this review, was on sale, so a good value considering the wool. It was not itchy and kept my head warm.
