Brooks XXL Wide Brim Hat–Breathable & Sun Protection

This is advertised as foldable hat, which it is, but getting it to hold a shape after doing so has been a challenge so far. I was expecting an aussie style hat but the unevenness makes it look more like a bucket hat. Other than that, it's well made and is great for outdoor work.

Perfect hat for the outdoors, whether it is camping, lawn work, "mountaineering" (didn't know that was still a thing), whatever. The description and photos are complete and photos accurate except for one of my favorite features of this hat (see photo). This is a drawstring that you can adjust the fit of the hat. I've never seen that, and since my hat is a little large, it solved my problem. The slots for sunglasses on the sides is a great touch, and of course the main drawstring helps keep your hat on during wind. Surprisingly the brim fans out even after the hat has been folded for packing. It's polyester with a "Polyurethane Membrane" (sounds like something that would wash up on the beach) which is assume is for waterproofing. Great hat.

This hat arrived flat as a pancake. I was so worried that it would be impossible to bring it back to its shape again. Not a problem with this hat. It came back to shape within a few minutes wearing it. Because of this I feel this is perfect for packing and taking with you on trips. I like the slots for sunglasses above the brim and the mesh on top makes it very breathable. The color is nice and for the price I could get another one in a different color.
I have ordered hats from this company before, and they run very large. I ordered the M-L and this worked out perfect for my head. There is a chin strap, which I hate to use, so it is nice that it is detachable.
This will be great for gardening and to take when I go on a cruise or fishing trip. I can definitely recommend this hat, but keep in mind that sizing is off, and you should probably order one size down.....

This is a solid hat for blocking sun working in the garden or yard. It��s not flimsy and soft on your head but the brim doesn��t flop all over the place like some do. It��s a nice quality and looks cute on!

I usually wear a 7 3/8 hat and found that the M/L hat fit me perfectly. The hat is well constructed with a nice wide brim. My intent is to use this primarily as a sun hat but in my area there is always a chance for rain. The hat has a treated outside material to repel water and a membrane for further resistance to water. It seems to repel rain fine during my limited testing.
