I used to wear size Large for a normal beanie. I upped the size knowing that wool will shrink on me. This "XL-XXL" actually feels like a large already. I'm a sucker for wording, and I don't know if I can call it 100% Merino, since the inner is lined with 100% fleece. Aren't this beanie supposedly 50% Merino, and 50% Fleece not counting the threads used? Perhaps just semantic. Fleece perhaps help with keeping the wool structure stable, but less breathable than 100% Merino for an all season usage. I think I'll remove the leather patch for a no orientation look.

I love this beanie! It's so warm with the fleece lining and the wool feels very soft. I have a big head for a woman, so it's hard to find a beanie that doesn't feel like it's too tight. I also like wearing beanies over my long hair and when the beanie is too tight it gives me really bad hat hair. I ordered the larger size in this beanie to make sure it wouldn't super tight and it's perfect! The fleece underlayer keeps the wool from getting too stretched out as well as making it more warm. The X-Large-XX-Large size hat measure 25cm across. Definitely recommend this beanie for anyone with a big head :)

I have always hated wearing hats because it is nearly impossible to find them large enough for my head. Especially knit caps that claim to be "one size fits all". The merino wool outer is finely knit and super soft. The fleece interior lining is also incredibly soft, and it keeps the wool from making direct contact with your skin. This is important if, like me, you have a sensitivity to wool fibers. Not only is this cap large enough for me to wear comfortably, it is beautifully made from quality materials, and I couldn't be happier with it.

Being 61 to 63cm I bought XL. Mistake, it was too big and had to go back. No XL in stock of course so had to get a nutha brand. It's a very nice hat, only peeved to have to miss out.

Warm with inner lining. I wear a 7 5/8 men��s hat and the XL fit great. Hat keeps me nice and toasty in the Montana Winter.
