A big improvement over synthetic knit hats. The size is great for a large head. The red color is a great help in not misplacing the hat. Merino wool is very comfortable and not scratchy. It kept my head nice and warm. Nice tight knit pattern. This is the first nice knit hat I’ve found in years, much better fitting and more comfortable than the polyester ones from the dollar store.This my new favorite hat in a color that will keep it from getting lost.

My only issue was that it��s too short of a hat (stylistically, not a product issue) for my head. This is for people who either don��t have as much hair on top as I do, or their hair is naturally really flat and won��t be messed up by the hat.

Everything else is great. I haven��t had weather that pertains to me trying it out for warmth, but it��s comfortable. At this price point, this is a great deal.

I have a large head and sensitive skin. So, anytime that I try to wear a stretch beanie in the winter, I get an instant rash and itchy skin. Some of that is due to the synthetic fibers, and some of it is due to how tight most hats are on my head,

This is an incredilbe hat. I get no itchiness nor rash at all, and this is the most comfortable winter hat I own.

It looks great, feels great, and keeps me warm. I could not ask for anything more.

I love this hat. I work in a warehouse that goes from super hot to super cold throughout the year, it could be freezing but if we are working hard we're often overheating. This makes wool a great fabric for us as it wicks away moisture and keeps us dry as well as warm.

I like this hat for many reasons, at the time of placing the order. This was $20 which I think is a great deal for a 100% wool cap. The cap is very smooth and soft and will fit a wide range of head sizes. My head is on the smaller side so I just fold the bottom up a little bit more to make it smaller, my husband with a bigger head doesn't quite cuff it and it fits real well for him.

The wool is a medium weight, definitely not lightweight, I've been out a few times 30�� weather and felt completely fine, I have no doubt when the temperature drops even more that this will do fine for me, I'll probably uncuff it so that way it covers my ears as well.

I washed this with other wool items. I have in cool water using a gentle detergent made for delicate clothes. I did not dry this in the dryer, I laid it flat and rotated it every couple of hours until completely dry, after about an hour and a half. I also flipped it inside out so the other side would be exposed to the air as well. It did not shrink nor stretch out on me.

This beanie hat is warm and comfortable. I am going to give it to my grandson as a gift.

Admittedly I haven��t tried very hard to look for an XL knit hat, but to be honest I never really thought about it since hats at stores are literally always too tight on me. Even the largest ones are still more snug than I would like. The only other knit hat I have that doesn��t make me feel like a watermelon with 100 rubber bands on it is from a mall chain shop and while I love it, it��s made of acrylic and I much prefer wool now.

This hat is really soft and comfortable. Not scratchy at all, as you would expect from merino. It��s also really thick which I like much better than the kinds that are made of two thinner layers sandwiched together. It��s started getting chilly in the mornings here so I��ve reached for it every time over my other cozy hats. I may get another one from them, if not for me for my partner. Really nice quality hat.

This is a decent hat at this price point. Labeled 100% Merino Wool, it does feel like wool-- though it's certainly more coarse than most merino items I have. The gray color looks good, though there is a small "leather" badge on the front...which I removed immediately.

I wear watch caps most days in winter. It is often hard to find them in large enough sizes, even though I'm just a 7 1/4 hat size. This one is labeled "XL" and while it's not HUGE it does fit larger heads. That's a plus. I'd prefer if it were a little deeper-- it will not cover my ears fully --but at least it fits around the circumference!

The knitting and stitching look as expected. It's not a $$$ SmartWool hat, but it is good quality for the price. I'd consider this a good daily-wear hat at a good level of quality for the cost. I'll wear it this winter and if anything changes will update the review in spring.

I've got some thin wool beanies that fit me for wearing underneath a cycling helmet, but I haven't found a thick knit cap that fits me comfortably and is warm enough when not doing aerobic activity...until now.

This isn't for wearing under a helmet of course, just general wear out in the cold, big enough to cover my ears too without special ear flaps like some of my cycling headwear.

I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can try this out as intended.

This is one of the best wool caps I have ever owned. The wool is not itchy, the only draw back is like all wool caps, the wool does not stretch over your head like other cheaper stocking caps. But when you but a wool cap, you do not expect it to stretch.
I have a 7 1/4 inch head and the XL/XXL fits my head just right. The wool is tightly knit and the quality is great.

If you haven't experienced Merino wool yet - TRY it! Regular wool is great too - but the no itch Merino is worth it's weight in GOLD!

ALSO worth it's weight in gold? - a hat that actually FITS a bigger head! JUST because your head is XL or XXL ... It doesn't mean you don't get ... cold ears! or a cold forehead ... GET THIS HAT! (and take good care of it)

Love the light weight of this hat. it is so comfortable, and the cuff can be re-positioned between ABOUT 1 1/2" and 3" - iF you're wearing it the way it was designed to be worn. It has a back seam that "reverses" about 3 1/2 " up from the hem of the hat - so if you choose to wear the hat with NO cuff at all - there will be a small, tidy, "inside-out" looking seam that shows on the back of your head ... It is SO SUBTLE of a difference - I believe the fashion police will not be issuing tickets over it!

SO - my "tags" issues ...

The more important one - to PROTECT this excellent hat - I would have added a line to the small satin tag sewn into it - saying:
"HAND WASH COLD - DRY FLAT"
do that and be ready to hand it down to your grand children!

The other one is just a personal preference.
I'm not a big fan of the little hard tags which I think DO add an extra modern stylish element - just not for me - SO ... I must confess that with GREAT care I removed it! I have a very pointy tiny scissors - which made cutting the attachment stitches one at a time, from the FACE sides of the tag only, and on BOTH the inside and outside of the hat. - not too hard to do! Just a little patience - and - VOILA! Hat is PLAIN, grey and PERFECT now ;P

I love that this is pure Merino wool, and not some combination of wool and other fabrics. I hate to sound like a wool snob, but I can tell the difference. Merino is just s-o-o-o-o soft.

It's smaller than I expected (even in XL size, it leaves my earlobes exposed), and I wish the blue was a true navy, but the knit pattern is subtle, and the amount of stretchiness is perfect. The small size has an upside -- I can roll this up and stuff it into a coat pocket, which isn't always possible with bulkier caps.

I could live without the leather logo tag, but it's easy enough to remove with a simple stitch-puller, so it's not a problem.

I can't wait for winter, so I can wear this every day.

TOP-EX Store 100% Merino Wool Stocking Cap. Very nice, soft, not scratchy-itchy wool. Thick, densely knit. I got the smaller of 2 sizes: Medium-Large (22 to 23.6��) and it is none too large for my dinky little female head. I think it��s supposed to fit pretty close to the head �C I get that �C but if you get this style hat too small, it will creep up your head. Note that being wool, this must be washed by hand in cool water and laid flat to dry. (No heat, no agitation, no dryer). Really nice hat, just wish it was a bit looser fit.

I'm a merino wool nerd, always on the lookout for new merino wool based products. It's simply one of the best natural fabrics on the planet. With the temps finally starting to come down, (mid 40's last night) I know it won't be long before I need to trade my ballcap for a beanie. So when I saw this 100% merino wool beanie, it was perfect timing!

I received the hat today and so far I'm very impressed. It has a nice hefty weight to it, while still being soft and supple. The knit/texture feels rugged and looks great. No loose threads or defects anywhere to be seen. The leather logo patch is double sided. So you can either wear the hat folded over for more ear warmth, or you can leave it unfolded for a bit more length and different style. The dark natural green color looks great and was exactly what I was hoping for.

The hat is made of 100% merino wool, which can be hard to find. Most companies mix their wool with polyester, nylon and other materials to cut costs. Even just finding over 50% wool can be tough sometimes. So I very much appreciate the fact that this is 100% merino wool, it makes a big difference it items meant to keep you warm. It's at least twice as warm as my previous hat, which was an 80% merino wool blend. The best part though, is the fact that it doesn't overheat indoors. The hat is able to breath and allow heat to escape, to a certain extent. It will still feel warm, but not overly so, like those thick fleece hats or similar.

The fit is also exactly what I was hoping for. I don't have a huge head, but I normally get L/XL size helmets for skiing. With this brand being specifically for larger heads, I decided to go with the M/L size. It's the perfect fit, not too loose, not too tight, doesn't cover my eyebrows, but just barely covers my ear lobes with about a 1.5 inch fold. I do expect it to loosen up a bit over time, as is common with 100% merino products. That can usually be remedied by washing though. Just be careful drying and don't do it with heat. I've accidentally shrunk a few hats in the past, and it's not easy to get them stretched back out.

There is a seem on the back, which is stitched in a way that doesn't show the unfinished side of the seem on either the main part of the hat, or the folded over portion. I thought this was a nice touch and shows that the company cares. It does limit how small you can make the fold a bit, since it will start to show the seem if you make it too small. That's really not a big deal though and even if it does show, it's barely noticable.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this hat. I foresee it lasting me for years to come as a nice all around winter hat. If you've been looking for the perfect 100% merino wool hat, this might be your answer.
