This is a fun looking and practical hat. It has the ponytail gap at the back, I can also have the sides up with poppers or down. With the rim down I can protect my ears and hair from the sun as the label says UPF 50+ UVA UVB. With the sides poppered up crocodile Dundee style, I can have a different look. one or both. Vents in the sides and adjustment to tighten if needed. What a bright colour too - great fun. Love it.

As far as quality goes, this hat is a decent manufacturer, especially considering the price. The main body of the hat is made of nylon with a polyester mesh lining. The hat is designed to be as breathable as possible, and my model for the day said she could actually feel the breeze blowing across her head and the back of her neck. By far the most useful feature was the opening at the back of the hat, which she could pull her hair through into a ponytail. The hat also comes with metal ventilation studs and metal snaps to secure the sides of the hat. Overall a great hat, and one you won't regret buying.

Love this hat.
I measured to the sizing chart and it's a close fit so I probably would have gone a bit bigger. Not sure if that's just me though or if other have found the same.
I've not yet used the ponytail part and also only worn it in full sun.

perfect comfortable, hat with pony tail section, stays in place, good quality material, heading off to africa to work on lion reserve so this is ideal, good purchase happy with this one

This was on sale for $19.99 when I got it. It fits the wife lovely, protects her head from getting sunburnt and keeps the sun out of her eyes. It's good that it's waterproof too. Has a nice wide brim, so effectively keeps the sun away from your eyes. Has a chin strap and tightens nicely around your head when it's breezy, and she likes that she can stick her pony tail through the back of it too.

This is a super hat. It is really well designed. I chose the S/M size and was concerned it might not be big enough for my thick hair but the hat is actually quite generous. No worries about it being too big though - the size is easily adjusted by a cord and the hat will stay in place even in breezy weather. To be sure, there is the under chin cord which can also be adjusted or tucked up inside the hat if not needed. The brim is good and wide - all the better for keeping the sun out of your eyes - and the crown is breathable - it has two layers: the top one has the usual vents and is loose at the bottom so the mesh layer underneath can allow your head to breathe. It will be great in humid places and is waterproof for a sudden cloudburst. I don��t have long hair but the gap at the back where long hair could go is another excellent design feature. I chose the pink for a change which is really pretty although obviously not a safari colour if that is what you want the hat for. It is available in a more conventional cream. It is certainly very well made and just as good as other outdoor gear I possess. Recommended.
