Neck Flap Baseball Cap

I was impressed. My hat was just like it was described and came days earlier than anticipated. The tracking app was very informative and thorough.

When I saw the way the hat arrived, I wasn't expecting the delight I was about to unbox. WOW! First of all, the product description says TOP-EX Men's Oversize Baseball Cap with Detachable Neck Flap, and being a WOMAN, I thought I was rolling the dice. Sure glad I did, as I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hat! I was looking for something that could protect me from the sun while I'm hiking at altitude. During the hike, I'll be dropping into a rainforest, and wanted to be able to spray the flap (instead of my body) with insect repellant. Being able to remove that flap by exposing the plastic snaps giving me just a plain ball cap makes this a true winner! The back of the cap shows an adjustable band with a little lock fastener. You can cinch the hat to the size of your head and it's PERFECT! The inside dark band inside the hat - it's super soft and flexible, making this extremely comfortable against your forehead. Bonus for anyone with a ponytail - that adjustable band in back sits comfortably right under your ponytail and not only makes it comfortable for us long haired hippy people, but it also can "catch" the hat if it should happen to get blown off your head. I'm about to see if they have these in additional colors - FABULOUS!

This hat is an essential to have when working outside in the heat. We've been procrastinating clearing our weeds and trimming our plants and getting our land ready for summer. We live in the tropics so you can imagine how the sun feels after you've been working in it for two hours. You will dehydrate you if you're not careful. This hat has that extra fabric, or "flaps" if you will, all around the sides and back of you neck to keep you feeling cooler and the sun won't hit you directly on your skin. The fabric is light against your skin and it fits just great. You can use your glasses or just hang them on top of the visor, they'll be kept safely out of the way. The bottom part is attached to the hat with snap on clips, so you can wear the hat alone if you want to. Those clips will stay put if your working in windy areas, they are very sturdy and will resist flying off in the wind. Easy to fold it and put it away until you you need them again. Ladies, grab yourself or your hubby a pair, maybe it'll motivate you to get a head start on summer, they are a great value.

The cap is working perfectly for all them desert days when that sun is beating upon my neck when I am outdoors.

I really like this it says men's, but I'm using it and I'm a woman if that means anything in this day of age. I'm taking it on a safari, but for where I live currently it works just fine for what I do!

It breaths, it has a nice fitting loop that can accommodate my enormous hat size. Its a fine hat without the neck stuff, but the neck is great too. a+

Great fit lightweight, SPF, surprisingly comfortable. Bought one for surf fishing, went back and bought another one as a back-up.

We live in a sunny desert resort area and we have to protect ourselves from sun overexposure. We slather on lots of sunscreen, nut nothing is better than covering up when possible. While I won't want to wear this sunshade hat all of the time, when I am going hiking (which I do a lot either by myself or with just a a few friends who I don't need to impress!), this hat will provide excellent sun protection. The detachable head and neck covering is what really makes this work great. And it is unexpectedly comfortable to wear and really does help keep me cooler. I tuck the cloth covering into my shirt collar to keep it from flapping around. (And another unexpected benefit is that it makes my audio earbuds and my smart glasses speakers louder!) This is also made from pretty lightweight and comfortable material. And I've tossed it in the washing machine (but I let it air dry) and it has come out just fine.

So, practically speaking, this is a great sun protection option for those times when I don't mind looking a bit more dorky while doing my outdoor activities!

Nice convertible design with removable back shade. I like the flexibility of this design. Might be able to fold the back flap into the top for temp storage, but it's not designed for that.

Snaps can be fiddly but you won't remove the back very often when sunny. Really nice fabric for everything on the hat. Comfortable and fits my large head perfectly. I'm going to be wearing this one a lot.

The hats very light weight and fits well. Having a drawstring to adjust the size is much better than a regular SnapBack closer and the extra length of the drawstring can be hidden under the neck cover so it's not noticeable.

The neck covering can be easily snapped on or off so the hat can be worn alone and it provides plenty of coverage for your neck. Even with your head down it should cover your neck without issue and is wide enough to cover your ears too.

My only complaints about the hat are the bill is very thin and flimsy with little shape to it. It feels like it's just a piece of paperboard under the fabric. The back of the hat also has a hole like a regular SnapBack hat which isn't covered by the neck covering. If you're balled or have thin/short hair like I do, you'll still get sun exposure through the hole like a regular hat and the neck covering doesn't go high enough to cover it either.

This TOP-EX Men's Oversize Baseball Cap with Detachable Neck Flap - UV SPF Sun Protection Hat is almost perfect except for the large space in the back which allows too much sun in on that part of my head. It's great if you have a ponytail to stick out, but otherwise it's just too much space for me. Otherwise this is a really nice hat. Please make sure you measure your head for the proper size because while this is adjustable, it fits well enough that there is not a lot of adjustment to be made. Nice hat overall.

Finally a hat for big noggins! I ordered the XL, and it fits very comfortably. The neck flap is really easy to remove and attach, and when detached, there's no exposed buttons. There are subtle little pockets on either side of the brim that you can stuff the earpieces of your sunglasses into to more securely hold them when not in use.
The hat is light, well-vented and easy to stash away when not in use. It's easy to adjust, too. Bravo!

This hat is comfortable and breathable. I like the sunglass holder on top. I don't like how noisy the neck flap is while moving around. I was hoping the longer I wore it the more I would get used to it but after a half hour I couldn't take the crunchy sound anymore.

I got the xl because of my large noggin. The hat fits fine and the fabric is lightweight. Definitely packable. The flap does tend to get wrinkled so it might be best to pack it separately from the hat itself or fold it carefully for travel. I didn't like the small holes on the sides. It made the hat look sm even stranger. It does what it's designed to do though.

I spend a lot of time working outside in the summer and despite wearing sunscreen, with my fair skin I've been keeping my dermatologist busy removing a spot here and a spot there. This new hat should help with an SPF of 50+. I wasn't really sure what size to order so I got the L/XL and it's perfect. There is an adjustable elastic band to customize the fit so this hat could accommodate multiple sizes. There are small ventilation holes throughout and the small pockets to hold sunglasses was an excellent idea. The neck flap is plenty long but lightweight and there are snaps where it attaches to the hat so it can easily be removed. The price is very reasonable for the features and quality.

The hat looks like as described and the material is very lightweight and thin so it is more breathable for working in the heat. With that being said the brim is noticeably thinner than a standard cap and with the material being as thin as it is, if you sweat heavily it'll soak the dome of the cap as it's constructed with the same material as the neck cover almost like a bed sheet. The dome also doesn't have any structure to hold its shape like a regular cap might. It's great if you want something lightweight and for short time protection from the sun then this is it!
