I have a 22" head and bought the Black M/L. It is perfection. Comfortable and warm. Not itchy and not too tight nor too loose. The bill is longer rather than wider and so provides a natural, protective awning for those who wear glasses while venturing out in the soggy Pacific Northwest. The ear flaps add a cozy barrier to the cold but not so snug as to muffle conversation. Great product design.

Winter is coming! I got this to keep me warm on my new long walks exercise regime. It is perfect. It is very well made. All stitching is flawless. No missed stitches or stray threads. The feel of the wool is very soft and extremely warm. The peak is handy to have against the glare of a winter sun in the morning and the earflaps fit perfectly on me but can be folded up internally if you don't need them. The size is a rather ambiguous M-L which is recommended for me and it does fit very nicely. My head measures 59cm (circumference around forehead) As such, the described 55-66 cm sizing seems a bit out. It would be a tight fit on anyone with a 66cm bonce. Other than that odd observation this is a well priced, very well made, attractive, warm and practical beanie for the upcoming colder months.

So normally I have a summer hat that has a wide brim that goes all around and I like to wear it all year if I can for the sun protection but in the coldest of winter days I have to resort to doing things like adding headbands underneath it and such to keep my ears warm. I'm super thrilled about this hat. The broom is going to help keep the Sun out of my eyes and the ear flaps cover my ears but are not tight on my ears. It's a a teeny tiny bit itchy around the edges but that is perfectly normal for a wool item. The color is a nice rich Navy, and I appreciate that they included head size indications in the listing because left my own devices I would have ordered an extra large and that would have been I think too loose for me, even though I consider myself to be somebody with a large head. I really also like the detail of the cuff, and how they managed to make it work with the ear flaps and the brim. Super super happy with this hat! (Might have to purchase it in Gray as well)

This is a nice quality hat and it’s nice and warm, the interior lining really helps keep the wind out.

Quite warm, very comfy and the brim seems sturdy. Very large, I have a big head with big curly hair and can still pull this over half of my face. Thats exactly what it advertises so im not mad to be clear, but just a heads up they are not exaggerating.

Wore on our trip to Alaska. Not only did it keep my head and ears warm but also kept the rain off my face.

After wearing this hat for less than 5 minutes, I��m already in love with it! I can��t wait for it to snow so I can really test it out!

Large cranium winter hat. Small cranium wont fit the largest size. Perfectly warm and covers ears.

I prefer this over a hat sometimes because it covers my ears better. Fits well. I��d buy again.

Good quality and fits good

Bought for a trip to a snowy place. Had to buy it 2 more times as my husband and daughter stole it from me. It��s great at covering your ears and keeping them from being supercold. We like the option of many sizes as my husband needed a larger size for his head and my daughter needed a smaller size.

A little pricey for what you get. Not much color choices, the lining isn't fur, it is just a soft cotton. Not fleece like they advertise. It's warm, but definitely not fur or fleece lined. Size does run large. It's a nice hat, just disappointed in the lining and in color choice. Too much trouble to send it back. Good hat to keep in the truck for emergency use. Better than no hat at all.

Bought the hat for the visor. Visor works well. I could be a little snugger around the ears.

This is a must-have for big and especially bald heads and super warm. I wear 7 7/8 had and this covered my head and all the way past the ear lobes. Super bonus: It is not itchy. I am overly pleased with my purchase.

I am pleased with the quality of this hat. It is lined on the inside and it is primarily made of wool. I was very glad that the sizing of the actual hat matched the product description. I used it immediately and my head and ears were warm in the cold weather.

Well I'm a 6 7/8 hat, got the M/L it's snug, definitely warm. Love it so far.

Okay, so picture this: I've got a melon for a head and not just any melon either. I call it an extended cab. Seriously, hats have been my nemesis since kindergarten. Finally found a beanie in a store that fit my giant noggin, but it was about as effective at blocking sun as a screen door in a submarine.

Enter this bad boy! Saw it online and thought, "Maybe, just maybe..." Turns out, YES! This thing is awesome. Not only does it fit my oversized cranium without feeling like my head's in a vise, but it actually blocks the sun! No more squinting when that sneaky afternoon sun tries to ruin my day.

Bonus points: This thing is WARM. Like, might-start-a-fire-on-my-head warm. Took it for a spin in some nasty slushy weather, and my head stayed bone dry (except for the face-snow, that's a different story).

Comfort level? Off the charts. Big head approved! If you're tired of hats that squeeze your brains out or let the sun cook your eyeballs, seriously, get this. 10/10 would buy again.

My husband likes his new hat. It doesn't ride up and it keeps his ears warm.

I had a similar hat but it got old, so I needed a new one. This hat geometry is perfect for cold sunny days. The hat is high quality and looks good. It is definitely very warm.
