Super Comfy & Warm Lined Cap!

I got this cap for my wife to wear while watching outdoor sports events during fall & winter. This cap arrived fast after ordering. It’s really nice. It looks great. I love the green color. It’s fleece lined which will be warm. My wife tried it on and said it was very comfortable. It looks great on her too. The listed price is fair and makes it a good value.

Very comfortable in waterproof merino wool

This TOP-EX merino wool beanie is so roomy that you could tuck your hair up into it to keep dry. I love that it’s waterproof. It’s very cute and with the brim the sun will stay out of your eyes. Overall, a very soft and comfortable hat.

It’s warm… and soft

This item actually fits like a full on beanie, but it does have a hat brim. It’s good for cold days, but the brim does help protect your eyes on the rainy days from the element. It’s very warm and thick around the ears, and the beanie as well insulated. It’s good for windy weather as the wind does not blow through the beanie fabric. It is stretchy, but very thick. It is made of quality material.

Thick, warm and great for large heads or bulky hair styles

I got the larger size (XL-XXL)hat so that the it would comfortably fit over my braids or when I wear certain wigs. This larger size is also great if you have thick hair, locs or just a large head. Its a thick, warm hat that is great for cold weather. It can be worn fitted to the head or a bit slack/slouched. You can get it down to cover your ears for even more warmth. I find the brim has a sufficient peak to help ward off the elements. The elastic around the headband is stretchy and very comfortable. I sprinkled a small amount of water on it and it just repelled right off. I tried a bigger amount of water...which stayed on the outer material of the hat but did not soak through to the inside. The thermal insulation of this hat will certainly keep your head warm in cold weather and it has a bit of style to it. I like it a lot.

Warm and cozy

I love that this winter cap has a bill to help protect from sun and precipitation. The fleece lining feels soft and cozy, and the wool blend knit of the exterior is soft and not scratchy. The cuff above the brim is not tacked down and can be adjusted to fit lower on my neck for more warmth. I ordered the "X-Large-XX-Large" size so that my son and husband could also wear it, and it is big as promised. I am an average sized American female ("one size" women's ball caps, sun hats, and beanies fit me with no issues), and this "XX-Large" size is huge on me. I can put my long hair into a high bun, and it easily fits underneath this beanie with plenty of room left over (see my pics). I can wear it, though it does tend to slip down on my head and need readjusting. My 6' 3 husband (with a proportional-sized head) can wear this hat comfortably without it slipping down on him, and it fully covers his ears depending on how he folds the cuff. This is a warm and comfortable beanie, and the size on the larger is as generous as promised. I am happy with the quality, and would not hesitate to order again from this brand.

Runs big

This beanie is perfect for cold weather. The merino wool blend with the fleece lining keeps my head warm without feeling too heavy or itchy. I really like the small visor brim since it gives a bit of shade and also helps keep light snow or rain out of my eyes. It runs big, I got the medium-large and there are so much room in the back of the hat. Though they are comfortable and breathable. It does not slip off easily and it feels high quality with the waterproof design. The gray color looks modern and goes well with any winter coat. However since it runs big, it's perfect for me to wear in the winter when I want to put my hair up in a bun or in a pony tail. Overall it is a warm, well made, and practical hat for winter. I wear it daily for walks and outdoor errands and it has held up great

Oversized beanie hat, but very comfortable and warm

This is certainly a warm hat for cold winter days. It is thick and soft, even though it incorporates some merino wool in the material blend. I ordered the M/L size hat which fit around my head softly, but not too loose. The fit feels more like a beanie. My head circumference is 22.5" or 57cm. The crown of the hat is very oversized, leaving a lot of room for very full hair styles. The sizing and cuff allows the hat to cover the back of my neck and ears. I like the built in brim that is not too large. A padded cushion was built into the inner edge of the brim, making more comfortable on the forehead. I can not tell if the brim is cardboard or plastic, but the curvature is rigid. The brim did not lose its shape after washing. Unfortunately, the curve of the brim sometimes forces down onto my glasses and makes my nose hurt after a while. This is mostly due to the crown being oversized, so nothing prevents the hat from sliding onto my glasses. This is not a problem if I wear the hat above my ears, but this defeats the purpose of a winter hat. I very much like the color, comfort, and functionality. The brim issue is not a deal breaker, but is definitely something to consider if you wear glasses. I will still surely use this for outdoor activity on cold winter days.

Seems to be of good quality

Seems to be of good quality. Easily fits my size 8 head. Didn't know it would take 2 weeks to get here and that it was coming from overseas. No mention of that on the website.

Nicely made and lined winter hat.

Very nice warm cap. I ordered a M/L as an adult woman. It is way to big. My DH has a small men's head. But I think it will fit my adult son who has a large man's head. I like that these hat comes way down over your ears, is lined and soft inside, and that it has a large bill to shield from the sun. If you work in snow type conditions I think this is the hat for you.

Cool Cap

This is really cool looking knit cap, that fit very well. The wool is nice and soft but warm and cozy. The visor will be great for sunny but cold days. The fleece lining is so very soft and comfortable. It's not cool enough for me to wear this for anything but trying on, but I'm really looking forward to sporting this cap this winter. I would get more in other colors.

Warm and isn't itchy

I dont have much hair up top anymore, so a good hat makes all the difference between being comfortable and feeling like my scalp is a wind tunnel. I got the DryKnit Waterproof Fleece Lined Merino Wool Beanie with Brim in XL-XXL, and it fits my size 7.5 head perfectlyno pinching, and it doesnt try to ride up when I move around. That alone earns it points, since most one-size-fits-all hats dont fit folks with bigger heads.

The materials feel solid and well thought out. The outer shell is a merino wool blend, so it has that natural softness and warmth of wool but still stretches and keeps its shape because of the synthetic fibers mixed in. Inside, theres a soft fleece lining that feels good against bare skin and doesnt itch. Between the two layers is a waterproof membrane that keeps wind and rain out. The little visor brim is niceits not huge, but it helps keep rain and glare out of my eyes. The stitching looks clean and even, and the hat feels like it can take some regular outdoor use without stretching out or falling apart.

As for warmth, this thing does its job. In cold, windy weather, it keeps my head warm without letting air sneak through. The fleece traps heat well, and the waterproof layer blocks wind completely. It might be a little too warm for days above 60F, but for cold mornings, damp air, or winter hikes, its excellent. Its a well-made hat that fits a larger head comfortably and keeps me warm without feeling suffocating.

A little large for me, but will work with it

If you have a head full of hair, this beanie will hold it for you. I have thin hair, but was able to work with the design as the sides will roll down. I like the bib and reminds me of the Afghan/Australian hats I have seen in the winter. There is wool content and the inside is lined, so it is warm. It is reasonably priced for the quality of the assembly as well as the wool content.

Nice'n'Warm

This thing runs a little big, but hey, at least my head feels like its got room to think. Warm, well-made, and the little visor/brim might look a bit goofy, but it actually keeps the rain out of your eyes, which is the whole point. Feels like a winter essential for anyone who doesnt mind looking like a cozy fisherman while staying dry.

GREAT CAP WITH WARM WOOL AND FITS LARGE HEADS

Great hat from the materials to the design, and well constructed. Designed "for Big Head", life doesn't get better. Just in time for winter, this is a 100% Merino wool outer knitted top that pulls down over my ears. It does have an inner lining of polyester fleece which makes it less than 100% wool, but because of the large knit top, the fleece keeps your head warmer and wicks away moisture. With the brim I don't have snow hitting my face. The flexible knit makes it a good, firm fit for all big headed men. This is a large, roomy cap designed to have loose material that hangs behind it and looks really cool. Everything is sewn very well and it is made to last.

Good addition to the collection!

Nice and cozy. Material feels good in the ears too, which us a big one for me. I haven't had to deal with water or snow yet, but you can hear the water lining when you move the hat.

stylish

Merino wool- but mostly polys and esters. Still a warm hat/beanie thing. Not sure scrunchy hats are my style, but it is a look, so maybe I'll give it a go this winter. If it doesn't work for me, I know my wife will love it- she's already coveting it.

Warm and comfortable

Keep your noggin warm and dry with this spiffy DryKnit? Waterproof L/XL/XXL Fleece Lined Merino Wool Blend Beanie with Brim Visor Cap Warm Winter Hat for Men Women (X-Large-XX-Large, Olive(ranger))!

NOT kidding about the XXL size - be warned - it's LENGTH is XXL too. MUCH FUN!

So - ordered this as a gift for my most excellent outdoorsman neighbor. He LOVES this mossy green (jackets, coats, t-shirts, flannels ... it IS his color. Not EXCLUSIVELY - but it's easy to notice it's a favorite.) He's also a Merino wool fan (me too!) ... mmmm socks! and he has an EXTRA LARGE HEAD! 7 1/2 hat size - sometimes larger when available.

This looked PERFECT - right down to the glamour shot including a dusting of snow.

When hat arrived though ... I was a little worried...

The color is just as expected - nice nuanced mossy green.
The Polyester - Merino - Nylon knit is soft and plush.
SURE it will be WARM with the fleece lining too. (Like wearing 2 hats at once.)
It has a nicely shaped, solid brim.
PROMISED water-proof is perfect for snowy/rainy archery events and other outdoorsy pursuits...

So what was my worry?

The hat is not ONLY a REAL XL hat - comfortably fits his "big melon" - not tight at all. BUT - It is also ... VERY TALL!
MUCH taller than I expected from looking at the pictures. It DOES look more "relaxed" in the pictures than a typical woodsy guy's hat. I was thinking, that's just because it's a KNIT hat. I'm more used to the SEWN together from wooly FABRIC versions (often with ear-flaps you can wear up or down.) They usually have a more "baseball cap" shape to the dome part.

THIS hat ... is designed (I think) to be more "slouchy". Put it on and sort of pat it down when you have your ears as covered as you want them to be. The brim as high or low as you want it to be, Maybe have the doubled over ribbed section pulled down some - or maybe ALL the way down in the center back? You have OPTIONS!

My FAVORITE option (for the PURE JOY PART) exercised by my neighbor as he was trying it on (happily), and trying out some of those options. HE (with his XL HEAD) can put it on then pull it down far enough that it COVERS HIS WHOLE HEAD. Just a little bearded UNDER his chin zone was visible. THAT is a LOT of HAT!

He was joking about cutting some eye holes in it!
JOKING! NO scissors were called for! He LOVES It!

Great value on a waterproof knit hat with liner, and built in brim.

This hat is fantastic,
they weren't kidding when they said Xl/XXl, WoW it is huge.
but it is super warm, and it says it is 100% waterproof so that's good, I can't wait to try it on a cold rainy day and put it to the test.
It feels very good, soft, yet heavy enough to warm you quickly it has an inner liner and a lot of material as it was made for a very large head.
It looks like a top hat on me, but I am still going to try it in cold weather.
