Emma Women's Waterproof Ponytail Sun Hat

My partner wanted to try a ponytail hole cap as soon as she found out this was a thing. She typically wears a sun hat that she has to either tie her long hair up in a bun at the base of her neck or just keep the ponytail down low. This hat allows her hair true freedom through one of two openings in the hat and it offers great sun protection as well as some attractive color options. The hat is stitched very well, and the design is well thought out. The sizing fits as expected for her medium sized head along with additional adjustability. There are mesh panels along the sides and back for airflow, a second hole around baseball cap height if you want to wear your ponytail lower, a headband adjuster for different sized heads (or just to make it more secure in the wind), a comfortable liner and a removable strap. This hat is getting the most use around the yard but it also works well for many kinds of outdoor activities and was ideal for a recent paddling trip. The long tail/neck protector on the sun hat is also perfect for hours spent in the Florida sun. At $19.99 currently, she gives this 5 stars.

I ordered this hat for general sun protection for face and back of neck when outside walking my dog, etc. It's great! Bonus, I just wore this hat on a 4 hour whale watch off of the California coast on a small, fast boat. With the chinstrap in place, the hat didn't budge! The bill retained its shape and never felt like it was going to blow off! I was amazed. (wish I had thought to have my husband take a video but didn't think of it until we were done and my hat was undamaged) Very comfortable and I love the option for low or high pony tail. I do't usually wear a high pony, but you have the option. My photo is with a lower pony tail through the lower hole on the hat. My head is 22.5" (57cm) circumference and I ordered the XL/XXL option. It's slightly large on me, but I wanted the option for my husband to also wear it. Other than the pony-tail hole on the top, there is nothing about this that looks like it is specifically for women.

This hat has a nice quality fabric. It's sturdy and blocks the sun wonderfully. It's breathable, helping prevent you from getting too hot.

This hat is just like other similar hats, except it has a slightly larger brim and has a couple holes for a ponytail.
I like the adjustable tension strap that keeps the hat on my head.
The holes are large enough that I could wear my hair in a high tail or low, and it still worked. Nice for keeping cool without having my hair all stuck under the hat.
I also liked the larger brim.
Didn't really use the chinstrap, but it's nice to have in case of a really windy day, or maybe to hang it around the neck.
Price was decent, if not fantastic, but overall worth it I thought.

Grabbed this for my mom, as I have a similar hat with the neck covering, and she loved it, but couldn't wear it due to her pony tail. Grabbed this since it seems to solve that problem with a hole for her pony tail, and she loves it! It looks great, and the front bill is not so large as to be super floppy (which is an issue with another hat she has, meaning she never wears it), so it's perfect for wearing out on the river and lake, even when it gets a slight breeze going on. So far, so good, I'm sure she's gonna wear it almost every day this season!

For an extra large, it was tight on my head even at the maximum setting. The children's model bit better. You can't roll up or remove the neck cover. The two huge vents for ponytails cannot be sealed and could lead to sunburn on top of the head. Serviceable otherwise

This hat was nice because it protects your head and neck from the sun. The material is thick and light weight. It feels very breathable, and it doesn't get that hot for me when I am outside. It's very comfortable and it has an adjustable string and allows it to me nice and secure. I am very happy with this purchase!

Navy color's true to how it was pictured on its product photos. Fits my big head too. Like that it has a chin strap to keep this hat from flying away during windy days. Appreciate the hole to be able to thread my ponytail through also, when I'm outdoors. Will be using this for when I'm working on our yard when hot & sunny weather becomes more constant. Like that it has a long neck flap to keep my neck from becoming sunburnt too.

If you have trouble fitting in a regular one size fits all hat, then this is definitely one to consider. I really like the two pony tail holes as I have too much hair to try to keep contained under a hat. I really appreciate the back of the neck coverage on sunny days. This hat is great! I love that it has a pan opening to pull my ponytail or bun through. The flap will come in handy to keep the sun off of my neck. Most of all I love that the hat is nice and roomy for those of us with big noggins.

First of all, I'm so happy to find a women's hat with large sizes that actually comes in at least one feminine color and then has not one, but several ponytail holes. I usually have to order men's hats to fit my 23 inch head and cut a ponytail hole into them.

As for the quality, the fabric is on the thin side, but not so thin that it feels like it's going to rip easily. Thin enough to feel nice and cool on a hot day. The mesh help with that as well. I love that there is a drawstring in the back to adjust sizes, and a drawstring in the front to keep the hat on in the wind. The brim is long and wide enough for good coverage from the sun.

If I could change anything, I would want more colors like dark pink and turquoise available, and I would make the back flap removeable.

The only thing I do not like is that it comes folded up in a thin box and I have yet to get the folds on either side of the brim to round out or flatten and that bugs me. I wish it had come either rolled or flat.

This is an outdoors hat that fits people who need larger hats. Good fit! It is adjustable in the back. Has a hole to thread a ponytail through. Wide rim and a flap of cloth for shading the back of the neck. Love the color and fit! Will work well for outdoors activities this spring and summer!

Hat fits well and looks good. The backside is long. You can't tuck it in. The color is dark. Would match most anything. I like the material it's made from.

Nice and Lightweight. Not sure it would fit someone with a large head but it fits me well enough. Hoping to travel the world and may start with one of the Caminos in Spain so this will come in handy for that.

It's a little floppy but it works. It keeps my wife's long hair away from her neck and upper back and helps her cool down during our hikes.
